Hey! I’m Samuel — but you can call me Sam (or that guy with the camera you won’t even notice until you see that perfect shot later).
I’m a wedding photographer based in South-East Queensland, and I genuinely have the best job in the world. I get to hang out with awesome people, witness the wild emotions of one of the biggest days of your life, and turn those moments into memories you’ll actually love looking back on.
I get to share life with my beautiful wife Louise and our tiny human, baby Freya who is 1 in May. When I’m not behind a lens, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors - hiking, running, sweating through a CrossFit session, or trying to convince my two border collies, Benji and May, that yes, that stick really is too big to carry home.
Before weddings, I was an engineer in the Australian Army. Which I suppose prepared me for wedding days better than I ever knew - because staying calm under pressure, reading a room, and getting things done with minimal fuss turns out to be very useful when Great-Aunt Marge insists on 47 group photos.
Why I Do This
Weddings are weird, wonderful, chaotic, beautiful, hilarious days. I love to capture those tiny, unrepeatable moments: the spontaneous laughter, the subtle glances, the moments you didn’t even know were happening but are the ones you’ll love to look back on.
From our first chat, to handing over your final gallery, it’s all me - and I’m here to make your photography journey as smooth, easy-going, and fun as possible. Whether that’s helping out with your timeline, offering a pep talk in the prep room, or just being there to catch the little stuff you didn’t even notice at the time - I’ve got you.
Let’s make great memories together.
- Sam
